Just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ for the excellent treatment you gave us last Thursday. As you are aware Nick was extremely anxious having had a failed reversal in the past which was extreemly painful post operatively. You may remember saying that Nick was the first patient that had brought his own strong analgesics with him!
On the morning after the op, Nick’s first words on waking were “This fellow’s brilliant!”. We were both amazed at how little pain and discomfort there was and I have had to nag him to stay still as he keeps forgetting that he has had any surgery. Having been to you for this ‘re-do’ we now realise how wrong things were with the initial reversal. Nick was fitter on the first post operative day than the 10th post day last time.
Whatever the outcome of the surgery (and we are keeping everything crossed) we feel that we definitely made the right decision coming to see you and your team and wish that we had come to see you first. The way you looked after us was second to to none, and as I said to you on the day, sitting in during the op helped with my anxiety.
