From February 2008 there is a direct rail link from London King’s cross to Hartlepool. See www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com . Alternative routes are from Edinburgh or King’s Cross to Darlington then taxi to Hartlepool.

By air
Durham Tees Valley airport is 25 minutes away, Newcastle airport is 1 hour drive away and Manchester airport is 2 hours away. Most budget airlines fly to Newcastle eg. Flybe.com (Southampton), Jet2.com (London), Easyjet from Bristol etc..
